Bellway helps young family make an easy move to new home in Malvern

When Rhiann Smith was looking for a new home for her and her two daughters, she wanted a fresh start with the minimum of hassle.
Using Bellway’s Express Mover scheme to buy a new-build home at The Rosehips in Malvern, just ten minutes from her old home in Alfrick, was the ideal solution.
Rhiann, 42, who works in education, was able to put her old house on the market with an estate agent recommended by Bellway – who liaised with the agent during the selling process and paid their fee.
The family moved into their new four-bedroom detached home at The Rosehips at the end of October last year.
Rhiann said: “I wanted a fresh start and to make new memories in a new home – and my preference was a new build as it is completely brand new and it is covered by a warranty, giving me peace of mind.
“The girls go to school in Malvern, so the location of The Rosehips was ideal, and once I heard about Bellway’s Express Mover scheme it was an easy decision to make.
“The scheme itself was really straight forward to use and I’m really pleased we used it. The process was all dealt with by Bellway, and there was one contact with Lauren which made life a lot easier, especially with personal matters going on simultaneously. Lauren was brilliant with everything, and it was a really simple process.”
Bellway’s Express Mover sees the housebuilder working with a local estate agent to agree a valuation for a customer’s home and find a buyer quickly. Bellway pays the agent’s fees and works closely with them until the sale completes.
As well as being the fresh start that Rhiann was looking for, the location of The Rosehips has been ideal for the whole family.
Rhiann said: “Everything the girls do is in Malvern. Their friends are there, their school is there, and I work just 10 minutes away from the development.
“We have a pub opposite which is great, we are around the corner from the shops and supermarkets and the area is really nice.
“There are also great road links. We are only half an hour from Hereford and only 15 to 20 minutes from Worcester and the M5. The railway station is only a 10-minute walk from the development, although I tend to drive most of the time.”
Rhiann has also been impressed by the peaceful setting of the development, which is located off Lower Howsell Road.
She said: “I like that this is a fairly small estate and although we are near the front of the development, there isn’t a lot of traffic that goes by.
“The site has a nice layout. There will be a small lake in the middle once construction has finished and there are open areas of green space. The surrounding area is beautiful, with lots of open space and a park opposite for the girls.”
The family were also impressed with the four-bedroom Goldsmith house type which offers an open-plan kitchen/breakfast/family room, an adjacent utility room, a living room and a dining room, with four double bedrooms upstairs, including two with en-suite shower rooms.
Rhiann said: “We knew we wanted a four-bedroom home as I didn’t want to downsize too much from our previous property. I liked that the kids could have a bathroom each and I wanted a little extra space.
“I love the layout of the property, especially the open-plan kitchen, and coming from a barn conversion, it has been so nice to be a little cosier. The back doors open out into the garden which the dog loves and I like how the garden is self-contained.”
The excitement for the family really kicked in when they were waiting for their keys on moving day.
Rhiann said: “I was on the edge of my seat on that day and it felt so amazing to finally get the keys. We were so excited to move in and start unpacking.
“The girls love it too and they’ve loved decorating their rooms exactly how they want them. This is our fresh start and I love it even more knowing it’s all mine. We are all really happy here.”
Rhiann was also very pleased with the customer service she received from Bellway, who helped her throughout the process.
She said: “Lauren in the sales office was amazing – so helpful and supportive. She has moved to a different development now, but she helped me every step of the way.
“She updated me throughout the whole process, and I couldn’t praise her enough. I would definitely recommend the site and Bellway to others.
“The timing of everything worked out really well, it almost felt like fate as everything came together at the right time. It was meant to be.”
Bellway is selling three and four-bedroom homes at The Rosehips, with prices currently starting from £255,500 for a three-bedroom end-terrace home. Just 12 homes remain available for purchase at the development in Malvern.
