B&M joins new tenants at £1m Tannery Retail Park redevelopment

The latest lettings follow the relocation of InStore Pharmacy, which moved into a newly created 1,859 sq ft unit on the same site.
Just one unit of c.3,000 sq ft remains available to let, offering modern retail space in a prominent and accessible town centre location. The retail park benefits from a 145-space customer car park, offering free two-hour parking.
Goold Estates acquired the c.29,000 sq ft former Midcounties Co-operative store in 2024. Located on a 2.1-acre site at the corner of Tan Lane and Lombard Street, the building has since been subdivided and refurbished, to create a modern, multi-let retail scheme, with new shop frontages, LED lighting and a bike shelter.
It has been renamed Tannery Retail Park in recognition of the historic Stourport tannery that occupied the site for over 260 years.
Anthony Williams, director at Goold Estates, said: “We’re pleased to welcome B&M and St Richard’s Hospice to Tannery Retail Park. Their arrival, alongside InStore Pharmacy, brings new jobs and footfall to the town. Attracting a national retailer like B&M and supporting a much-loved local charity in delivering a new, large-format store is a great result for Stourport.
“We’ve retained key amenities, including the 145-space customer car park, while investing more than £1 million to fully refurbish and reconfigure the building into modern, high-quality retail space. With just one unit remaining, we’re confident the scheme will be fully let soon.”
Richard Bache of Johnson Fellows acted on behalf of Goold Estates.
