Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of three esteemed children’s homes in Birmingham, previously trading as part of Aston Children’s Care Holdings (ACCH).

Established in 2012, Aston Children’s Care offers specialist care services to children and young adults with learning disabilities and complex behaviours due to childhood trauma. Over the last 11 years, the business has grown organically and now consists of seven homes across the Midlands.

The decision to sell these three homes was made after a comprehensive review of the organisation’s long-term goals, including expanding services, upgrading facilities, and enhancing the overall experience for the people in their care.

Following a confidential sales process with Julie Kitson at Christie & Co, the homes have been sold to Resicare Alliance Ltd, an independent provider of specialist children’s residential services and family assessment centres.

ACCH assures that the sale of these homes will not disrupt the ongoing care and support provided to the children residing in them. Prior to the sale, ACCH worked closely with the new owners to ensure a smooth transition, allowing for a seamless continuation of services without any interruption.

Mahesh Mehan, Director at ACCH, comments, “This sale is a strategic move for ACCH, allowing us to concentrate our efforts on delivering exceptional care and support to the adults in our transitional homes. We are confident that this decision will enable us to create an even stronger foundation for the future, as we continue to provide a safe and nurturing environment for vulnerable adults in the Midlands.”

Donna Varley-Turner, Chief Executive Officer at Resicare Alliance Ltd, comments, “We are thrilled to have purchased an established business in this sector which will enable us to grow and enhance the business. Our properties provide the highest standard of people, facilities and equipment to ensure our young people have the best possible chance of growing, developing and improving.”

Julie Kitson, Director at Christie & Co, who handled the sale, adds, “I am pleased to have been able to assist Mahesh and his team to sell the children’s homes which have enabled him to continue to grow the adult transitional homes. Working with Donna Varley-Turner of Resicare Alliance Ltd, I was able to match this business to her requirements. With the help of AGS Accountants, Higgs LLP Solicitors and Assersons Law Offices, we were able to deliver this deal in a timely manner.”

The three homes were sold for an undisclosed price.
