Pair of specialist mental health nursing homes in Staffordshire sold for the first time in almost 30 years
Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of a group of two care homes in Cannock, Staffordshire.
The group comprises Barton House, which is approximately two miles from Cannock town centre, and Needwood House, which is located off the main High Street in Heath Hayes. The two homes have registered Managers with vast experience and cater for a total of 48 service users requiring mental health support.
The business has been owned and operated by John and Ann Mansell since 1995 and has become an integral part of the sector’s specialist Mental Health Nursing provision. The pair recently decided to sell as part of their retirement plans.
Following a confidential sales process with Paul Reilly at Christie & Co, the homes have been sold to Care Concern which now owns over 60 homes across the UK.
Paul Reilly, Director – Healthcare at Christie & Co, comments, “The sale had many twists and turns and was fairly complex, but the former owners were patient throughout the process.
“Due to a rise in demand for mental health services and the fact that fees are particularly high, we’re seeing a great demand for mental health homes across the region.”
The two homes were sold for an undisclosed price.
