Homesure Property, an independent Liverpool letting and estate agency, is celebrating its 18th birthday. The UK property market moves through phases of boom, bust and recovery approximately every 18 years. Consequently, Homesure has reached an industry milestone; the company has been in business for one complete property cycle!

Since launching in 2007, Homesure has grown from a team of two, to one of over 40 people, acquired five businesses, and supported thousands of property buyers, sellers, and landlords.

CEO Nick Stott has been with the company from the start. Nick said:

“We started out a year before the 2008 credit crunch. We were still learning the ropes when the crash happened, but we survived, and we’ve thrived. Everything we’ve done since has been with an awareness that the market moves in 18-year phases. We’re in turbulent economic times again now. On top of that, there are big legislative changes facing our industry. We’re not fearful, and nor are the hundreds of landlords we support. Homesure’s processes are future-proof, and our clients are well prepared.”

Homesure Property has departments covering estate agency, block management, auctions, investments and lettings, but long-term property management has always been the flagship service. Many landlords have been with Homesure since the beginning, growing their property portfolios with support from the growing business. One such landlord, Sam Clark, said:

“I’ve used letting agents in other areas, but Homesure has always been the benchmark. Their service is excellent. What really stands out is that every member of the team is knowledgeable about my properties, so no matter who I speak to, they’re up to speed and able to help. It’s so important to be able to trust the team managing your investment, especially with all the legal changes that have happened since I bought my first property. I recommend Homesure to other landlords all the time.”

Homesure Director Mark Loughnane said, of the company’s longevity:

“It’s about looking after people – tenants, landlords, and staff. Every time we’ve taken over a company, the landlords have kept their business with Homesure. I think that speaks volumes. We look after some properties that have passed from one generation to another, and we’ve helped the families through that process.

“We’ve also got team members who joined us as apprentices in their teens, and are now at director level. Our aim is to provide quality homes for the long-term, and we mean that in more ways than one.”

Homesure’s focus is on the sustainability and quality of properties, relationships and practices. The company has proved its metal by sticking around, while plenty of competitors have come and gone, and amassing hundreds of independent five-star reviews. Plans for the next 18 years include an imminent head-office move, and an ambitious growth strategy.
