A RARE chance to see inside a brand new bungalow is being offered to homebuyers in Ross on Wye with the opening of a new show home this weekend (Saturday, November 30).

While bungalows accounted for just 1% of homes built in the last decade, they account for half of the properties in the first phase of St Mary’s Garden Village.

Recognising that brand new bungalows are a rarity, the homebuilder is opening a three-bedroom Sidmouth style show home. It’s one of three styles of single-storey properties available at the development.

Sales director Adele McCoy explained: “Three months after the first homes at St Mary’s Garden Village were released off plan, building work is progressing well. Some people have been eager to reserve at the earliest opportunity, but many others want to view before they commit to buy.

“People are particularly curious about the bungalows and how this style of property could suit their lifestyle. By opening a Sidmouth style bungalow show home we’re helping satisfy that curiosity, while giving buyers their first real experience of what life could be like if they choose to move here.”

The Sidmouth is a surprisingly spacious home, offering 1,012 sq ft of carefully considered living space.

Maximising the potential of the floor plan, it features an open plan kitchen, dining area and living room.

The en-suite to master bedroom means that the main bathroom serves the remaining bedrooms.

Those who perhaps don’t need three bedrooms could opt to use one as a dressing room or a study.

Current prices at St Mary’s Garden Village range from £229,995 to £439,995, with a three-bedroom Sidmouth, similar to the show home, available from £319,995.

The wider new neighbourhood will eventually comprise 290 homes across 23 hectares, including designs from Bluebell Homes.

There will be a community building with equipped indoor gym, community hall and kitchen. Residents will be able to enjoy an abundance of open space including play areas; walking trail with outdoor exercise equipment; a kick about area; cycle hire facilities; allotments with raised beds, plus an orchard and meadow.

There will also be a viewing platform overlooking the pond, with a direct view to St Mary’s Church, which overlooks the development.

To be among the first to see inside the bungalow show home at St Mary’s Garden Village, visit the development on Saturday (November 30).
