Construction work complete at Langford development
Bellway is preparing to hand over the keys to its final two homes at the Blagdon Gardens development in Langford following the completion of construction work on site.
All 30 houses for sale have now been snapped up at the development, which is located off Bristol Road.
The housebuilder has delivered a total of 43 homes on the site, including 13 affordable properties for rent or shared ownership, featuring a mix of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes.
Construction work began in 2018 and the development has earned industry recognition, with site manager Simon Blackburn receiving a prestigious Pride in the Job Quality Award from the National House Building Council (NHBC) last year for the high standard of work at the site.
Rachel Way, Sales Manager for Bellway South West, said: “The award-winning quality of the homes at Blagdon Gardens has been one of the major reasons behind the development’s success. Another has been the location. Situated on the edge of the Mendip Hills and surrounded by beautiful countryside, Langford offers an idyllic rural retreat.
“The development has proved particularly popular with buyers relocating from Bristol. Just 11 miles from the city, and with easy access to the A38, the village is ideal for those wanting to escape to the country but still have a convenient commute to work.
“Despite the challenges posed by Covid-19, interest in the homes at Blagdon Gardens has remained consistently strong. In fact, the development has become even more attractive to buyers since the start of lockdown, with growing numbers of people seeking a better quality of life and better access to open space following months of being largely confined to their homes.
“Blagdon Gardens has established itself as a family friendly development and we are proud of the community that has formed here. Families have been attracted by the good choice of schools nearby, including three primaries and one secondary rated good or outstanding by Ofsted within just a five-minute drive, and the area of public open space which sits at the heart of development.”
Buyers are due to move into the final two homes at Blagdon Gardens over the coming months.
Bellway South West is continuing to build new homes at developments across Somerset, Wiltshire and Oxfordshire.
