Gloucestershire businessman and RICs chartered surveyor secures double shortlisting for two leading industry awards

Local Gloucestershire business owner, James Quinn, has been shortlisted for his success in growing residential property surveying brand, GB Home Surveys, by two highly esteemed industry awards: the RICS Matrics Surveyor Awards 2023 and the Growing Business Awards.

The RICS Matrics Surveyor Awards 2023 is dedicated to supporting and celebrating young professionals and their achievements and contributions to the property industry.

In being shortlisted for ‘Residential Property Surveyor Award’ – an accolade designed to reward ‘the outstanding talent of an individual who achieves exceptional results and provides quality customer service in residential property’ – James has been recognised as one of just 11 leading residential surveyors across the UK.

The Growing Business Awards rewards the UK’s most outstanding entrepreneurs and high-growth businesses. Securing a finalist position for the Growing Business of the Year: Smaller Company Award, GB Home Surveys has been selected among 6 other world-class, privately-owned UK companies with turnover of up to £10m.

James Quinn, Director of GB Home Surveys confirmed: “It is a great achievement to have been selected as a finalist for these two leading awards. I am humbled to be recognised for my contributions to the surveying industry and the wider residential property sector.

For the past six years, my team and I have put in tremendous effort to establish GB Home Surveys as the preferred home survey provider both regionally and nationally. This latest recognition from the industry is a testament not only to my personal accomplishments but also to the hard work and commitment of my team.

I now look forward to the awards evenings and celebrating the accomplishments of my fellow nominees and wish all other finalists the best of luck.”

Originally established as Gooch and Burley Chartered Surveyors in April 1992, GB Home Surveys was acquired by James Quinn in 2016 and is now recognised as a leading residential property survey provider, having significantly increased market share and launched its own unique online quoting tool.

This latest news follows a successful period of growth for the brand, having accelerated revenue and expanded into a new 1000 SQ FT commercial premises in Maisemore, Gloucester over the last 12 months alone.
