Chance to be among the first to see inside new homes in Heywood

A DOUBLE milestone is being celebrated at a new development in Heywood, as new show homes open and the first residents move in.

Anwyl Homes is marking the occasion by inviting potential purchasers to join them at Whittle Brook Park for an exclusive event on Saturday, November 25.

From 10am to 4pm visitors will be able to enjoy a first look inside professionally styled show homes. They’ll all be treated to Christmas canapes, hot chocolate and mulled wine, with luxury local gift bags available for adults and stockings for the children.

There’s even the chance to win a voucher for the East Lancashire Railway, which operates a Polar Express service.

Anwyl area sales manager Amy Houlihan said: “The opening of the show homes at Whittle Brook Park has been eagerly anticipated. While those who reserved at the earliest opportunity have started moving in, many other potential purchasers have been waiting to see inside our homes before making a commitment. It’s our first development in Greater Manchester, with bespoke designed properties. It’s also where we’re pioneering the use of air source heat pumps in place of traditional gas boilers as part of our commitment to delivering sustainable new homes and communities.

“Across the development we’re building a good choice of three, four and five-bedroom homes and while it wouldn’t be practical to showcase each style of property, we’re offering the chance to experience every single home virtually. Combined with viewing the show homes, the virtual technology will really help to capture buyers’ imaginations.”

A total of 120 new homes are being built by Anwyl across almost 15 acres of land on Manchester Road in Heywood.

Current prices start from £299,995 for a three-bedroom detached Altham.

The show homes are examples of the four-bedroom detached Higham and five-bedroom detached Whitworth.

The Higham features a living room at the front, with a combined kitchen and dining room at the rear benefiting direct access to the garden via French doors. There’s a dedicated space for the washer and dryer, storage cupboard and cloakroom to complete the ground floor.

Upstairs, all four bedrooms are a good size. Bedroom one has an en-suite, leaving the family bathroom to serve the other three bedrooms.

The five-bedroom Whitworth is a generously proportioned home, set out over three floors. At its heart is the combined kitchen, dining and family room. The spacious nature of this sociable space is amplified by French doors offering lots of natural light. There’s also the convenience of a utility and cloakroom at this level.

Four bedrooms, one with en-suite, plus the family bathroom are on the first floor. One of these bedrooms benefits from a balcony space that sits above the garage.

The crowning glory of this property is the top floor, encompassing the main bedroom and en-suite.

Anwyl’s new homes in Heywood are part of the wider new West Hopwood community, which will eventually comprise around 1,000 new homes, plus 1.5 million square feet of employment space, a local centre, new primary school, extensive public open space and sports pitches.
