Stoford lays foundations for future development with CFO appointment
Leading commercial property developer, Stoford is driving the business forward with two new hires, including a Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Rob Bayliss joins the Birmingham-based business’ established finance division as CFO, bringing more than 20 years of experience.
Having worked for the likes of Grant Thornton, Roxhill Developments, BPG, and Nurton Developments, Rob has a strong background in property development and investment, including high growth, private equity and entrepreneurial environments. He will oversee a range of complex transactions and will be fundamental in helping Stoford to continue delivering multi-million pound developments across the country.
Rob said: “Much of my time working in the property industry has been industrial development, so I am pleased to be returning to the sector. The team at Stoford represent best in class and I can’t wait to help them deliver their growth agenda from a finance, commercial and strategic position. It’s fair to say that I am joining the business at a time when both they and the market are primed to take off.”
Also joining Stoford is George Walker. He becomes Stoford’s second graduate appointment, having completed an MSc in Real Estate at the University of Reading this year. George will work alongside the development team.
Matthew Burgin, Joint Managing Director of Stoford, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome both Rob and George to Stoford. Rob brings many years’ of financial and industry experience which will undoubtedly enhance our existing team, while George reflects the next generation of real estate. I look forward to seeing them make their mark on the business.”
