New Bluebell homes in Ross On Wye feature high quality eco kitchens from the Kitchen Bureau

ECO-FRIENDLY kitchens are being served up as part of a sustainable new development in Ross On Wye.

St Mary’s Garden Village is a blossoming community that will eventually feature 290 homes alongside facilities including allotments, walking trails with exercise equipment, wetland areas and more.

The new neighbourhood is being shaped by the Edenstone Group, featuring properties from Bluebell Homes and Edenstone Homes.

Show homes are now open on the Bluebell phase to help inspire buyers to live more sustainably. They include new eco-friendly kitchens, supplied by the Kitchen Bureau.

Sales director Adele McCoy explained: St Marys Garden Village is part of a new generation of housing developments designed to be sustainable new communities where people will love living now and in the future. Provision of community facilities such as allotments and cycle hire will help residents reduce their impact on the environment, but building sustainably doesnt stop at the doorstep.

We share homeowners concerns about the environment and how what we do now impacts on the future. Were working hard to reduce energy consumption and our overall carbon footprint and the partnership with the Kitchen Bureau at St Marys Garden Village is the latest step in our journey to delivering more environmentally friendly homes. They recognise that the kitchen is at the heart of the home, creating stylish yet practical spaces people will love to spend time cooking, eating and socialising in.

Kitchens in the Bluebell phase will include highly energy efficient appliances and sustainably sourced units with in-cupboard recycling bins, making it easier for our homeowners to separate their waste.

Based in Magor, the Edenstone Group is proud of its Welsh roots and keen to support local businesses where possible. The Kitchen Bureau is the largest independent kitchen retailer in Wales with Welsh rugby legend Glenn Webbe at its helm as managing sales director.

Glenn, a former Bridgend and Wales wing, was the first black player to play for Wales in a World Cup campaign and was the first British player to score a hat-trick in a Rugby World Cup

Speaking of his companys involvement with the new homes being built at St Marys Garden Village, he said: We are very excited to be working with Bluebell Homes on the new community in Ross On Wye. Our principle is to provide high quality kitchens while minimising our carbon footprint. All our furniture is made in the UK, which reduces pollution through long-distance transportation and our Eco range cabinets are made from 100% recycled material.
