Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of Aston House care home in the city of Hereford. Funding for the sale was sourced through Christie Finance.

Aston House is a profitable care home which provides mental health support for up to 16 residents aged 18-years and above and is located in a leafy suburb close to the county town centre of Hereford. Historically, the home has a ‘Good’ CQC rating.

The business’s new owner brings with him a wealth of management experience and plans to use this to drive the strategic running of the care home. He will retain the care home’s current manager who has worked there for 20 years, and he plans to extend the property to allow for additional bedrooms.

Lee Howard, Director at Christie & Co, who handled the sale comments, “Despite the lockdown and COVID-19 conditions, this deal is a good example that there is still a great level of activity in the marketplace.”

Jimmy Johns, Associate Director at Christie Finance, comments, “During initial conversations with the buyer, I was confident that we could help him achieve this purchase. We had to use various tools to provide additional support as this was his first purchase, however, with our direct access to the competitive funding market, we worked together to deliver the finance he required. I wish him all the best as he plans to expand the business over the coming months and years.”

Aston House was sold off an asking price of £1,300,000.
